Organized by the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Israel’s oldest national art school, Continuity and Change: 92 Years of Judaica at Bezalel emphasized the development of the art of Judaica since the school’s establishment in 1906. The exhibition surveyed the creativity and aesthetic expression manifested in the design of Jewish ceremonial objects by culturally diverse artists, which has resulted in a renewed national identity. Introduction by Muli Ben Sasson, curator of the exhibition and head of the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design at Bezalel, and statement by Ehud Olmert, Mayor of Jerusalem.
